The Scoop platform is embedded directly in your daily workflow. When you sync Scoop to your Google calendar, you can view your previously set work location and view where team members plan on working day to day right as you’re booking your next meeting.
For Enterprise users, your company’s Scoop admin will need to enable Calendar Sync for you to connect Scoop with Google.
Slack
Once you’ve added your next office day, simply accept the permission prompts to connect Scoop with Slack and Calendar.
If you previously dismissed the option to connect with Calendar:
Head to the Home screen in the Scoop Slack app
Under Manage your account, click Settings
Then under Google Calendar select Connect
This will redirect you to the Google login screen where you’ll be able to choose your company Google account to connect with Scoop
Once connected, you can use Manage settings for Google Calendar to control what calendar features you’d like to use
Mobile
To sync your Google calendar with Scoop from the mobile app:
Open the Scoop app and log in if necessary.
Tap Start from the Connect Calendar option on the green banner near the top of the Now tab.
Then select Connect Calendar
You should then see a pop-up page from the bottom of your screen, select Sign in with Google.
This option will redirect you to your web browser where you’ll be able to choose your company Google account to connect with Scoop.
Once you select your Google account and complete the login process, you will need to enable permissions to allow Scoop to view and edit events on your Google calendar.
After enabling permissions, you’ll be all set and will be able to navigate back to the Scoop app.
Browser
To sync your calendar with Scoop from the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Calendar extensions:
Open the Scoop Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge Calendar Extension and log in if necessary.
Click on Start from the Connect Calendar option on the green banner near the top of the Home page.
Then select Connect Calendar
Once selected, you should see the option to select Sign in with Google.
This option will redirect you to Google’s login screen where you can choose your company Google account to connect with Scoop.
After you select your Google account and complete the login process, you will need to enable permissions to receive Meeting Workflows and allow Scoop to view and edit events on your Google calendar.
After enabling permissions, you’ll be all set and your future work locations will appear on your Google Calendar.
Your work location will show as a full-day event on your Google calendar. Deleting or changing the calendar event will not delete or change the work location in Scoop.
Any changes you wish to make to your work location will need to be made within Scoop for Slack, the Scoop mobile app, or browser extension.
