Communicating changes to your meetings
Updated over a week ago

Scoop’s Meeting Workflows make it easy to communicate and see when plans change for your meetings, including sending a running late message, changing RSVP statuses or work locations, or proposing a meeting be skipped.

In this article, we'll guide you through how to communicate changes in your meeting channels.

Send a running late message to meeting guests

Running a bit behind schedule for your upcoming meeting? No problem – it happens to the best of us. With Running Late, making last-minute schedule changes is stress-free.

Simply select the Notify you're running late button in your 15-minute reminder notification within your meeting channel, and choose from our pre-populated messages to inform meeting guests.

The best part? Running Late messages can also be sent from the Scoop mobile app to your meeting channel, making on-the-go communication a breeze!

Update your RSVP or work location

Maybe your plans for the day took an unexpected turn, and you've decided to head into the office or realized you won't be able to make the meeting. No matter the situation, Scoop has you covered with convenient options to update your planned work location or adjust your meeting RSVP directly from the 24-hour prep and 15-minute reminder notifications.

Just click on the Update RSVP or location button and make the necessary changes. This ensures all meeting attendees stay in the loop with updated details.

Propose skipping and canceling meetings

If you realize you don't need that next meeting, Scoop makes proposing a skip easy for all meeting attendees.

To do this:

  1. Select the Propose skipping button from the 24-hour prep or 15-minute reminder notification.

  2. You’ll then have the option to let others know why and to send this suggestion anonymously.

  3. Once you send the suggestion to the group, we’ll poll attendees to vote on whether to skip this instance of the meeting.

If the overall decision is to skip, the meeting owner can then cancel the meeting directly from Slack.
