Set Your Next In-Office Day

Scoop makes it easy to share your office plans with your co-workers. And it starts by adding your next in-office day. 👇

  1. Open the Scoop Slack App

  2. Click Home

  3. Under Share your work location select your next office day

Once you’ve set your next office day, Scoop will:

  • Set your other days until then to Remote 🏡

  • Automatically update your Slack status each day with your work location

  • Add (or update) your daily work location in Google Calendar if connected

  • Share your work location with guests attending meetings you’re part of

  • Update your work location to “Out of Office” when we see an OOO event on your calendar if connected

And if your plans change, updating your work location is easy.

Connect Calendar

To opt into Meeting Workflows, display your work location on your calendar (including when you’re OOO), and see the work locations of meeting attendees displayed, you’ll need to connect Scoop to your Calendar.

Once you’ve added your next office day, simply accept the permission prompts to connect Scoop with Slack and Calendar.

If you previously dismissed the option to connect with Calendar:

  1. Head to the Home screen in the Scoop Slack app

  2. Under Manage your account, click Settings

  3. Then under Google Calendar select Connect

  4. This will redirect you to the Google login screen where you’ll be able to choose your company Google account to connect with Scoop

Meeting Workflows

Scoop's Meeting Workflows automatically aggregates all your meeting details into powerful messages that answer not just who's attending but from where while helping you focus on the meetings that matter most.

Meeting owners who have connected Scoop with their calendar and opted into receiving Meeting Workflows will receive a Slack DM for newly created meetings on their calendar, allowing them to manage notification settings.

Meeting notifications can be sent to existing channels within your Slack workspace or you can choose to have Scoop create a dedicated meeting channel.

Office Interest Polls

Easily land on your next office day with office interest polls. Instantly poll a channel of co-workers, see what day works best, and confirm your plans right in your Slack channel.

  1. Click on the Home tab from the Scoop Slack app

  2. Click Launch Poll

  3. Choose the channel + the week you’re polling for

  4. Select Send Poll

Once a poll closes, Scoop will automatically surface the most popular day, including an easy way to confirm your plans.

While polls are visible to all channel members, the poll author will remain anonymous.

💡Tip: Set up a weekly reminder in Slack to run a poll. Then it's an easy couple of clicks in the Scoop app to send out a regular poll to the team.

Sync to Slack

Show your work location right in your Slack status by syncing Scoop with Slack. Simply accept the permission prompts to connect Scoop with Slack and Calendar.

In-Person Invites

Easily invite co-workers to join you for coffee or a day in the office with In-Person Invites.

To send an invite:

  1. Click the Home tab of the Scoop Slack app

  2. Select the event type to launch your invite prompt:

    • Coffee ☕

    • Lunch 🥪

    • Chat 💬

    • Day in the office 🏢

  3. Choose your co-worker

  4. Click Send Invite

Scoop will then DM your invited co-worker to confirm their availability.

  • If confirmed, Scoop will start a group DM so you can choose a time that works best.

  • If declined, Scoop will alert you via private DM.

Once your plans are set you can easily add them to Google Calendar.

Snapshots

Breathe a sigh of relief with Snapshots knowing that all your crucial meeting details are neatly summarized and conveniently delivered to you in personalized DMs.

You can find Snapshots by opening the Scoop Slack App and selecting Messages from the top banner.
